Bathroom Ins and Outs

Bathroom Showers, Tubs, and Toilets

Showers: Why Shower? Other than cleanliness we shower for many reasons. Some of us shower to save time while others shower to feel better. Showering, or hydrotherapy, can rejuvenate and revitalize if you hop in a cold shower to serve as a ‘pick me up’.  On the other hand a warm or hot shower can soothe and de-stress the body.  No matter what your reason, the right shower head is necessary to make sure your shower experience is comfortable.  Whether you prefer a strong steady flow of water or a gentle rain feel, we can help match you to the perfect shower head.

Bathtubs: Bathing can be the most relaxing experience in your home, or the most fun. When bathing to relax you may want a bathtub that can overfill to allow you to completely submerge yourself in warmth and comfort or a Jacuzzi tub to relieve tension in sore muscles. Alternately children see the bath as a time for play and fun. Making sure your hot bathtub is safe so children can bathe without the worry of scalding is necessary. Installing a posi-temp, also called a scald guard valve, can help you avoid a dangerous situation.

Toilets / Bidets: A toilet may be one of the most basic items in your home. It is there for a specific purpose. This does not mean that it has to be as basic as its purpose. Toilets have come a long way in the last few decades.  If you have an older home changing your original toilet may be a shocking experience. 30 years ago a toilet used on average 7 gallons of water per flush. Modern toilets now use on average 1.5 gallons per flush. Many people ask why the new toilet doesn’t flush or sound the same as their old toilet, this is simply because newer toilets use less water at a higher velocity.
